Infiniti, the subsidiary of Japan’s Nissan automaker company, launched its cars in USA around 1989. Three years ago, it stretched its marketplace to Russia and started competing in the marketplace in West Europe about a year and a half ago. Now, the luxury car models that are trademark of Infiniti have been officially launched in the UK and the company is looking forward to build a network of Infiniti dealers across the UK.
Competing with rival luxury brands, SUVs and sedans such as BMW, Audi, Lexus, Mercedes, and Jaguar, Infiniti hopes to find good dealers to promote its share in the market pie. Despite the recession gloom and sale of only about 2,000 cars per year in Europe, Infiniti dealers see better times coming as the economy takes an upturn.
The first dealer center was launched in Reading in October 2009, and the company envisions that in the next four to five years, Infiniti dealers at the UK will constitute second largest market after Russia. Seeing the popularity of Infiniti cars all over the world, dealers of the automobile company hope to sell about 8,000 cars per year by 2014, which will be 6% of current Infiniti sales at the global level. The Car and Driver ’10 Best 2009’ award to Infiniti G37, for its styling, performance, price value and driving experience, also sets up ideal future prospects for the sales of G Coupe and G Sedan for Infiniti dealers.
